Hey there, folks! I promised you another introduction to one of my sponsors who is contributing to The Big Five days…5 winners PCM Giveaway and Fundraiser.

But first, I wanted to tell you about something I stumbled across a few days ago:

…which is a great challenge hosted by some fantastic bloggers. The goal: to be mindful every day in the month of November of ways we can give of our time, money, resources, and love.

I’m a little late in the joining the party, but for the rest of the month, I’ll be highlighting a different “giving suggestion” each day, with the BIG one, of course, being our effort to build PCM a new classroom. I am really looking forward to seeing how God uses this focus on giving to change my perspective and heart for the better this month. Oh, and I’d love to hear your ideas as well!

Giving Suggestion #1: Use your talents to help out others in need.

That just so happens to be what one of my sponsors, Alicia of WontonMommy, is doing by contributing to our PCM fundraiser. Want to meet her? Of course you do!

Hello 5D5W readers! I’m “Alicia” to many, “mommy” to my mini, but also better known as “WontonMommy.”

WontonMommy started from just one little DIY “project” for my 1-year-old daughter, Kennedy (aka, “Wonton”…get it?). Our little family of three was running on a tight budget and expanding Kennedy’s accessory collection didn’t quite qualify as a necessity. One headband made from scrap ribbon for Ken turned into 10. Then that 10 turned into 20. I finally found a creative outlet that worked for me, and I really enjoyed making little lovelies for Kennedy.

Soon, I started making and selling pieces for friends. I knew that I had it in me to turn my hobby into my own business. I had support from my fiancé and family and each night I prayed for motivation and continued creativity. I finally took a chance on myself and opened an online shop.

Business is going great and growing every day! My faith and support from family and friends keep me going. I’ve also found an amazing network of support via the “blogging world.” That is how I met the lovely Abbie (she’s pretty awesome, isn’t she?) and have the honor of visiting 5D5W today!

Thank you for getting to know me a bit and it is a pleasure to meet you all.

Please be sure to come visit me over at my blog!

Thank YOU, Alicia, for stopping by and for being such an enthusiastic supporter of my blog and PCM!

Oh, and stay tuned for Move-it Monday coming a bit later today.

I love hearing from you guys!
